Philips Devices Recall
On June 14, 2021, Philips Respironics issued an urgent recall on many of their CPAP, BIPAP and ventilator devices because the PE-PUR sound insulation foam used in the machines can degrade, causing toxic particles and off-gassed chemicals to enter the air path. Ingestion or inhalation of these particles or chemicals may lead to serious or even life-threatening injury.
JUUL
The manufacturers of JUUL vaping devices have come under fire for injuries and addiction caused by JUUL devices. JUUL lawsuits have been filed by individuals, law firms and government agencies, claiming serious injuries from JUUL products and deceptive advertising by the manufacturers.
Talcum Powder
Talcum powder lawsuits are being filed against the manufacturers of products containing talcum powder, claiming that these products can cause ovarian cancer when used for feminine hygiene.
Zantac
Following an FDA warning about unacceptable levels of NDMA, a probable carcinogen, detected in formulations of Ranitidine, Zantac and several store-brand Ranitidine products have been voluntarily recalled and removed from store shelves. Lawsuits are being filed against the manufacturers of Zantac and other ranitidine products because of a link between NDMA found in the products and certain types of cancer.
